Lazio’s most fervent rivalry is with AS Roma. Their clashes produce the “Derby della Capitale,” a football spectacle brimming with capital city pride.
Fun fact: Both Roma and Lazio play in the same stadium—Stadio Olimpico, which was inaugurated in 1937. It’s the main and largest sports facility of Rome, and it is located within the Foro Italico sports complex in the Flaminio neighborhood in northwest Rome.
