House of Gucci, the amazing-looking film that features a star-studded cast including Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, will soon be out in theaters and I am really excited to see it. The trailer looks amazing:

But as cool as the movie looks, I am really dying to read the book first!

House of Gucci: A True Story of Murder, Mayhem, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden was originally published in 2001. It was based on Forden’s reporting for Women’s Wear Daily.

I’m not sure how I managed to sleep on this book for 20 years, but I know I’m not alone. So, I made sure to add it to my Italy 2021 book guide.

The film buzz has also renewed interest in Forden’s original work. I know this because my local libraries have a long waitlist for the book and audiobook plus the Kindle and paperback versions has been given a brand new cover and afterword.

Anyhow, House of Gucci is out in U.S. theaters—and only in theaters—on November 24. For those of you who still aren’t quite ready to go to the theater (or just prefer to watch films at home), House of Gucci will be available for streaming on Paramount Plus a few weeks after the theater release.

Happy reading and watching!
