These Italy-Themed Online Courses Look Awesome

Calling of St. Matthew by Caravaggio

If you can’t travel right now – most of us still can’t – it’s a great time to enroll in some online courses geared towards Italy lovers.

Context Travel, the company that offers dozens of educational walking tours throughout Italy and Europe, has branched out to offer Context Conversations. Here are three upcoming courses that may interest you:

  1. The Life and Work of Caravaggio (4-part course, begins September 10)
  2. Ancient Roman Provinces and Building the Empire (5-part course, begins October 18)
  3. City of the Lagoons: A History of Venice (6-part course, begins November 10)

In addition to these multi-part courses, Context also offers a number of seminars. Two that caught my eye were:

  1. Mithras and the Mysterious Cult (September 4)
  2. Renaissance Rivalry in Venice: Titian, Veronese, and Tintoretto (September 6)

Have you taken any Italy-related online courses in the past few months? Do you know of other upcoming courses? Leave a comment below.
