Astrology and Italy may not seem like much of a match. But Zodiac symbols and imagery have been an important part of Italian art and design for centuries.

Some examples of zodiac imagery in Italy include:

  1. The Zodiac Mosaics in the Villa Romana del Casale, Sicily
  2. The bell tower in Piazza San Marco, Venice
  3. Annibale Caracci’s zodiac-frescoed ceiling in the Palazzo Farnese, Rome
  4. Zodiac sculptures in the Boboli Gardens, Florence
  5. The Zodiac Chapel in the Basilica di San Petronio, Bologna

While you should certainly visit these astrologically-inspired sites and artworks, you can also build an Italy itinerary that aligns with your star sign. Given that Italian cities and regions have their own personalities, it’s easy to match them to the zodiac—if you’re so inclined.

Read on to learn more about these star sign pairings!
