Struttura immersa nel verde, ben tenuta e accogliente. Camera quadrupla e bagno grandi e puliti. Colazione varia e di buona qualità. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, soprattutto Roberta e Liz. Produzione propria di ottimo vino con possibilità di acquistare in loco. Essendo inverno non abbiamo utilizzato la piscina.

The watermill “Il Molinaccio” was already present in the old maps of the Granduchy of Tuscany. The original building, duly and passionately restored, now reopens as a luxury country house where the guests may spend their time, in absolute quietness, surrounded by a colorful garden,our fruit grove and the vineyard. In front of the villa, there is the new infinity swimming pool. It is not a normal pool chlorine, but a swimming pool cleaned with salt, that of Volterra Salt mines , the same used by the Etruscans . This disinfection system is a lot more healthy, no chemicals added. Among the advantages : less red eyes , the tan is better maintained and of course it is easier to swim. The water taste slightly and pleasantly salty. The small forest is crossed by the river Salcheto, along which we have realized a walking footpath. 3D targets, representing local animals, have been positioned along the river, upgrading it to a fully fledged Field Archery Range. Il Molinaccio is by and far its 3.6 ha vineyard, whose grapes are used for Il Golo, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC La Spinosa, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and La Poiana, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG

Montepulciano is a medieval and Renaissance hill town and comune in the Italian province of Siena in southern Tuscany. It sits high on a 605 m limestone ridge, 13 km E of Pienza, 70 km SE of Siena, 124 km SE of Florence, and 186 km north of Rome by car. Montepulciano is a major producer of food and drink. Renowned for its pork, cheese, "pici" pasta, lentils, and honey, it is known world-wide for its wine. Connoisseurs consider its Vino Nobile, which should not be confused with varietal wine merely made from the Montepulciano grape, among Italy's best. According to the Michelin Guide of Italy, the name of Montepulciano derives from Poliziano (Agnolo Ambrogini, XV century ), a local exquisite poet from the Renaissance period. Latin Mons (Mount) adds to form the name. According to legend, it was founded by the Etruscan King Lars Porsena of Chiusi; recent findings prove that a settlement was already in existence in the 4th-3rd centuries BC. Closeby there are relevant reinassance towns like Pienza Siena and Orvieto or the roman baths of Bagno Vignoni .
